Batteries were not required for Rollfix 1085, the beautiful Mercedes-Benz Convertible 220S model. The friction drive of the model is operated via an approx. 50 cm long steel wire in the rear of the body. The heavy iron flywheel provided the car with sufficient energy for extensive travel. Roughly 20,000 models of this car were sold between 1960 and 1964.
