"Cycladic" mainly refers to an ancient civilisation that existed on the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea from about 3200 to 1100 BC. The term also describes the islands themselves - a group of around 220 islands. The Cycladic people are famous for their simple white marble statues, especially figures with folded arms, and played an important role in early Greek civilisation.
