Order Processing and Backorders

The following are general guidelines for our processing times. For specific shipping estimates, please check the product details of your selected item.

In-Stock & Some Made-to-Order Items

  • In-stock items are typically processed and shipped within 3–7 business days, depending on availability (excluding holidays). Once your order is ready, we’ll update your order status and provide a tracking number if available.

  • Orders with multiple items may ship from different locations and arrive separately. No additional shipping charges apply.

Custom Made & Personalised Items

  • Custom options include made-to-cut wooden letters, personalised wall art, personalised books, handcrafted toys, and home, nursery, or wedding decor.

  • Please allow up to 14 business days for personalised prints, engravings, and smaller items, and 2–6 weeks for larger custom made-to-order products.

  • If an order requires a longer processing time, this will be clearly indicated in the product description. For example, some screen-printed wallpapers may take up to 15 weeks to complete.

  • High demand can affect processing times; some orders may be completed sooner or take longer than the standard timeframe. Always check the product details for your selected item.

Expedited Orders

  • DHL Express and Royal Mail Special Delivery are available upon request. To expedite your order, email info@thedutchhospital.com. Expedited orders are accepted Monday–Friday, 6 am–6 pm GMT+0.

  • Immediate shipping depends on item availability. Overnight and 2-day rates are calculated based on shipping address, weight, and packaging.

  • Rush delivery is available for some personalised items, such as baby wooden blocks and canvases, but production times may vary:

    • Expedited personalised prints: up to 3 business days

    • Expedited personalised wooden letters & Old Toy Story items: up to 5 business days

  • Please provide prompt instructions for all expedited orders, including delivery date, contact details, and any special instructions.

  • We recommend checking with us via email before placing any expedited order, whether for UK or international delivery.

Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Contact info@thedutchhospital.com within 2 hours of placing your order for any changes or cancellations. After 2 hours, changes or cancellations cannot be accepted.
