Museum Collection – Michelangelo’s Madonna of Bruges is a marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child, created around 1504 from a single block of marble. Measuring 4 ft 2.5 in, it was commissioned by a Flemish merchant and brought to Bruges, where it was likely intended for an altar.
